HFM Disease

Sorry imani, ummi has to start your blog with a sad story. Its been a long time since ummi sign up for this blog but has never started due to my busy schedule with handful cutie creature like you. I think I have to go backwards.

HFM-how its started
We just come back from cherating. Even the chalet was nice but it has a very bad hygene prob. Come back I saw a strange rashes on your nappy area. It looks like mosquito bite but alots of it in one area. It was so fast and became more worse everytime. It freak me out when the rashes was already on your arm & palm by noon. I know there must be something wrong. But its was Sunday and already 7pm and Dr Nik's clinic (Our Pediatrician) was already close. Rush you to Alam Medic clinic (ING panel) and the doctor said the rash has been infected by virus and give you a lotion. Only a lotion. That night you can't sleep. You can't stop garu all over yr body. I rush you to the same clinic again to ask for ubat tahan gatal. At least for tonight. The ubat was last for 2 hrs only. Every 2 hrs you will wake up and scracth and cry. I can't give you the drugs every 2 hrs. I just can hold you and sapu the lotion and prayed hard for your relief. God knows how I wish the night will end. Next morning, Dr Nik's clinic open on 9.30 and we are already there by 8.00. Don' t care! I wanna be her first patient today. With one glance the first words that came out from Dr Nik was "HFM". I'm speechless. But at least we know what was the horrible rashes was. There's no special drugs or medical sure for HFM disease. You are lucky the virus just attacked your hand and foot only. No serious ulser. So you just being home quarantined. Dr gave Declovir cream for rashes, Medijel gel for yr throat ulser, Lactacyd skin cleanser for bath and a paracetamol in case of fever. Your rashes became more horrible by noon but ummi & abi was lega coz we know what was the cause already and with all the Dr Nik's xplanation and internet info we take turn to look after you for the whole week. Ummi has to take leave first followed by Abi. You are an active and happy itchy patient. First 2 days was hard. You can't eat & drink right. Probably because of the ulser but you are such a clever girl. You still want your bottle but it took a long time just to finish 2oz of milk. As usual, you want everything that you saw me ate but you just ate bit by bit. Abi came back on the first day Moo Moo icecream. That was Mak Ngah's idea coz Ariff and Aishah also suffer the same disease when they was young, even worst,both of them have to be warded due to serious ulser. But at the end all the ice cream was finished by Ab (as usual).
